i went to hospital because my gall bladder was playingup. she was always very impatient when she came with her team every morning. she talked over me and i didnt feel very respected as a patient. i also felt she was condescending to her team. my problem was sorted in the end but i dont think she has a good attitude to her patients or staff. the staff on the ward was great tho!

After months of feeling un-well, Visiting my doctor and A-E, Not being referred to see any one, I was eventually admitted to hospital, I met miss Patel the following day, to cut things short miss Patel had me in theatre with in 24 hours of our meeting. she never gave up on me, never wasted any time, I cannot Thank her enough, Im very grateful for miss Patels fast reaction, she knows her job and is very good at it. During my stay on ward 4 under miss Patels care, All staff were great, I couldnt say a wrong word about anything, Well Done Every One. thanks alot Lynda Barnes.

I have suffered with gallstones for 10years & every doctor ive seen has passed me around with nothing been done. I recently came under the care of Miss Petal.. knowing i couldnt be operated on due 2 my large size she located a hospital that would help me. Im currently in hospital for the 10+ time with killer pain she contacted the hospital today & i will be transferred 2 the hospital that will operate on me asap. Shes clearly fought my corner because she knows im really suffering & have been since i was 17. Im so greatfull for everything shes done for me shes literally my angel. She didnt just pass me around like the rest of doctors... she went above & beyond for me. Shes a fantastic doctor. I cannot thank her enough.

I had bowel cancer surgery in January 2014 at Furness General. Prior to the operation the thoroughness of Miss Patel gave me great confidence in her. She visited me every day during my hospital stay and addressed any concerns immediately. Upon discharge it was very reassuring to know that if I experienced a problem during the first few weeks then I would be readmitted to the ward immediately under Miss Patels care. The specialist nurse, Suzanne Thompson, has also been very helpful whenever I have had a query. Many thanks to Miss Patel and her team.
